AAQUA supports a wide range of industrial partners in streamlining their water flows and recovering as much water and energy as possible. We do this by designing, engineering, building and managing functional and practical industrial wastewater treatment plants. With a customised approach, a well-considered combination of treatment technologies and the right dose of automation, monitoring and support, we ensure that even the most complex wastewater flows, however big or small, can be valorised in a user-friendly way. In other words: we offer simple solutions for difficult problems.
Design and construction of industrial wastewater treatment plants
Each industrial wastewater treatment installation requires a customised approach. After a thorough analyses and with the right capacity for innovation and creativity, AAQUA thus focusses on both the engineering and the construction of made-to-measure installations. High or low flow rate, simple or complex wastewater composition, brand new installation or conversion … we select the right technologies for each industrial client and combine them into a reliable en sustainable high-performance wastewater treatment plant.
Water reuse
Water reuse is not just a necessity. In most cases, there’s also a financial gain. Even more, water reuse often allows for energy recovery - and thus additional savings - as well. AAQUA combines know-how and experience in wastewater treatment on the one hand and the production of process water on the other and is thus capable to close the loop in a calculated and efficient way, even when the wastewater in question is characterised by a complex composition or high pollution. In 2015, for instance, AAQUA was the first company in Belgium to purify wastewater from an abattoir back to drinking water quality. Since then, we’ve completed many successful reuse projects, including more realisations for slaughterhouses and tank cleaning companies.
Mobile installations
Due to strict standards, high requirements and the demand for uninterrupted production, reliability is a central criterion in industrial wastewater treatment. That’s why AAQUA is equipped with a comprehensive fleet of mobile solutions for both the main purification and treatment technologies as well as various supporting components. They allow business and production processes to continue even during a breakdown or scheduled maintenance in the water treatment installation, but can just as easily by deployed for pilot testing. As such, AAQUA provides a proof of concept even before the final decisions are made.
Monitoring and support
Not every company has the necessary knowledge or staff to manage a wastewater treatment plant. AAQUA therefore strives to simplify the management of its installations and minimise the number of manual inspections and interventions. An advanced automation and a user-friendly interface, among others, play a crucial part in this ambition. Additionally, since 2006, each installation is equipped with remote monitoring, thus allowing AAQUA to identify problems remotely and, in many cases, solve them without even having to go on site.
